Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026 · WSG Global LLC (d/b/a Fleet United LLC) · Illinois

TruckerProfits is built for owner-operators. This policy explains exactly what we collect, who processes it, why, and how you can access or delete it — accurate to how the app actually works today.

1. Who We Are

  • TruckerProfits is operated by WSG Global LLC (d/b/a Fleet United LLC), an Illinois limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the TruckerProfits web application and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
  • We are the "business" and controller responsible for your personal information. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@truckerprofits.com.

2. What Data We Collect

  • Account information: When you create an account via Clerk, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up through a third-party sign-in provider (e.g. Google), we receive the name and email that provider shares with us.
  • Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe collects and processes your payment card details directly. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account information. We retain only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
  • Load scoring data: The rates, mileage, costs, lanes, truck cost profiles, and resulting scores and history you create in the Service. This data is held primarily on the device you created it on. A copy is also sent to our servers (hosted on Supabase) and associated with your account. Today the app reads your history from your own device, so signing in on a new device does not currently bring your past loads with you — treat your device as the record of your business data, and export anything you need to keep.
  • Location data: If you use location features (such as the "Use my location" button on the Score screen or map search), we process your device's precise GPS coordinates to resolve them into a city/route (reverse geocoding) and to power distance, directions, and nearby-place lookups. Destination and saved-place coordinates you use are stored on our servers, associated with your account. You control whether the Service accesses your device location through your browser or device permissions.
  • Usage and analytics data: Product-analytics events about which features you use and how you interact with the Service, collected through PostHog to help us improve the Service.
  • Advertising data (free tier only): If you use the free, ad-supported tier, Google AdSense may collect device and usage identifiers, cookies, and similar data to serve and measure ads. Paid subscribers are not shown these ads.
  • Support and AI chat content: When you use in-app chat or support, the messages you send are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Do not include sensitive personal information in chat messages.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and app version, collected automatically through standard server logs and used for security, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
  • Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain your messages to respond to you and improve our support.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the Service: authenticating you, syncing and storing your scores/lanes/profiles, processing your subscription, resolving your location into usable route information, and delivering load-scoring functionality.
  • To send transactional emails: account confirmations, billing receipts, and password-reset emails via Resend. We do not send marketing emails without your opt-in.
  • To operate the free, ad-supported tier: serving and measuring advertising via Google AdSense.
  • To maintain and improve the Service: diagnosing errors, monitoring uptime, and prioritizing features based on usage analytics (PostHog).
  • To power AI chat/support features via Anthropic.
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • We do not access your device contacts.
  • Camera and microphone: we access them only at the moment you tap a control that needs them — the camera when you photograph a rate confirmation ("Snap it"), and the microphone when you tap a mic icon to speak into a field. Neither runs in the background, and we never record or store audio. A rate-confirmation photo is sent to our AI provider to read the load details and is not retained afterwards. You can refuse or revoke both permissions in your device settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
  • We do not collect or store full payment card numbers or banking details — Stripe handles all payment data under PCI-DSS.
  • We do not share your individual load-scoring inputs with freight brokers, carriers, or industry third parties to make decisions about you.
  • Note on "sharing" under California law: our use of Google AdSense on the free tier may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You can opt out — see Section 9.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • The Service is hosted on Vercel (United States) with our primary datastore on Supabase (United States). All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS; data at rest in Supabase is encrypted.
  • Authentication is managed by Clerk using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted credential storage and support for multi-factor authentication.
  • Your load-scoring data, lanes, truck profiles, and saved locations are held on your device, with a copy stored on our servers (Supabase) associated with your account. Cross-device restore is not yet available — see "What we collect" above.
  • We retain account, billing, and scoring data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal and tax obligations. If you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data from our systems, including Supabase, within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • Despite our security measures, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. If we experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and any applicable regulators as required by law.

6. Third-Party Service Providers (Processors / Subprocessors)

  • Clerk (clerk.com) — authentication and account management (processes your name, email, and authentication credentials).
  • Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing (processes your card and billing information directly).
  • Supabase (supabase.com) — primary database and server-side storage of your account-linked scoring, lane, profile, and location data.
  • Google Maps Platform / Geocoding (Google LLC) — reverse geocoding of GPS coordinates and distance/directions/places lookups.
  • Google AdSense (Google LLC) — advertising on the free tier (device/usage identifiers and cookies).
  • PostHog (posthog.com) — product analytics.
  • Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI provider for in-app chat/support. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, inputs submitted through the API are not used to train its models.
  • Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery.
  • Vercel (vercel.com) — web hosting and deployment (may process IP addresses and standard server logs).
  • Each provider is contractually bound to process your data only as needed to provide its services and in compliance with applicable data-protection law.

7. Cookies & Tracking

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Clerk sets session cookies required to keep you logged in. These cannot be disabled while using the Service.
  • Analytics: We use PostHog to understand feature usage and improve the Service.
  • Advertising cookies (free tier only): Google AdSense sets advertising and measurement cookies to serve and measure ads on the free tier. Paid subscribers are not served these ads.
  • You can manage or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so may log you out and reset preferences. California residents may opt out of advertising "sharing" as described in Section 9.

8. Your Privacy Rights

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by emailing support@truckerprofits.com.
  • Correction: You can update your name and email in your account settings.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account from your account settings or by contacting support@truckerprofits.com. We delete your personal data — including data stored in Supabase — within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
  • Opt out of marketing emails: Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Data portability: You may request an export of your personal data in a machine-readable format.

9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

  • If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (b) request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions; (c) request correction of inaccurate personal information; and (d) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
  • Opt out of "sale" / "sharing": We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of Google AdSense for advertising on the free tier may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You may opt out by emailing support@truckerprofits.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," or by using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the Service.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact support@truckerprofits.com. We respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 45 days).

10. International Users

  • The Service is intended for users in the United States, and your data is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States. We do not target or market the Service to the European Economic Area or United Kingdom.

11. Children's Privacy

  • The Service is intended for professional adult owner-operators and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@truckerprofits.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes by email to your registered address or via a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
